Criminal Justice
Agencies (NCJAs)
that receive
criminal history
record information (CHRI)
directly from the
FBI through the
state central
repository, or
through a channeling
agency. (A
channeling agency
serves as a liaison
between the CJIS
Division and
agencies or entities
that submit
fingerprint cards to
the CJIS Division
for noncriminal
justice applicant or
licensing purposes.)
The PD&C staff will
also audit NCJAs
that receive CHRI
either through
direct access or
through secondary
dissemination for
the emergency
placement of
children in exigent
circumstances.
