AUDIT
Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) Compliance Auditing - The NCJIS agencies are
audited in accordance with Nevada Criminal Justice System and National Crime
Information Center (NCIC) policies and procedures. Auditing is a process
that enhances system integrity and security through increased user compliance
with NCJIS mandated policies and procedures. An audit will focus primarily
on the Administrative Responsibilities, Hit Confirmation Policy, Security
Requirements, NCJIS/NCIC Validation of Records, Personnel Training Standards,
NCJIS/NCIC Quality Control and Criminal History Record Information.
Compliance audits are conducted biennially on every terminal agency within the
state.
